Matriwell are dedicated to creating the safest and most secure environment for mothers because we believe every mother deserves a sanctuary where she can be completely authentic and receive truly empathic and useful support.
We’ve therefore designed our services to uphold the highest standards of data security, shielding your personal information from snooping and maximise the privacy of what you discuss with your PA.
This policy outlines how we protect your personal and sensitive information. It outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use our services, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information.
1. Personal data we collect and how we use it
We collect the personal data essential for providing you personalised support while protecting your safety, including:

1. Account Information: When you create an account with us, you provide your email address and password. This information is essential to ensure you have secure access to MothersPA. With your consent, we also use your email address to communicate with you about the app and how it can benefit you.
2. Profile Information: MothersPA provides multiple questionnaires so you can share information about yourself. The app collects this information to provide a personalised user experience, offering relevant guidance and information tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. This data is stored in our database, Supabase, because it provides strong data encryption, strict access control policies, and adheres to industry standards and regulations to ensure your data's security and privacy.
3. Conversation Information: When you interact with our chat feature, your messages are automatically collected by our app and securely transmitted to the OpenAI API via encrypted API calls. We uphold stringent security measures to ensure the protection of your data both to and from the OpenAI API. To further safeguard your privacy:
- Anonymisation: To anonymise your data whilst you are interacting with your AI assistant, we have ensured all of your personal data stored in a secure database, is connected to your User ID, which is a random and unique set of numbers, instead of identifiable login information.
- Conversation History and AI Assistant Data Ownership and Use: MatriWell and OpenAI does not read, nor own your data, providing an additional layer of privacy. Only you have permission to read your conversation history.
- Encryption and Access Controls: OpenAI encrypts all data at rest using AES-256 and secures data in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher. We maintain strict access controls to limit who can view your data.
Non-identifiable data that is collected
We use Google Analytics, which automatically collects device, location, and usage information. We use this information primarily on an aggregate anonymised basis to understand what’s working and what’s not with MothersPA so we can improve our services.
We will only use this data to protect your and our vital interests, including preventing fraud, criminal activity, or other misuses as well as to comply with all legal obligations and to protect the rights and safety of all.
2. Protecting your rights
We will retain your personal data for as long as it’s necessary to provide you with the services of MothersPA or to comply with any legal requirements to keep you safe. We respect your rights under GDPR to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, or to withdraw consent of your personal data at any time. You also of course have a right to ask any questions about this privacy policy and to get them answered.
